Privacy & Cookie Policy
Controller
BRIF is operated by Bor Briščik (AI agencija, aiagencija.si). Privacy contact: info@aiagencija.si.
What we process and why
- Your email address entered in the form — to deliver the brief you requested. Legal basis: performance of the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- BRIF updates — sent only if you explicitly tick the optional checkbox on the form. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw at any time by writing to the address above or via the unsubscribe link in any such email; withdrawal does not affect delivery of briefs you request.
- Query content (the researched person's name, context) and the generated brief — to run the service and the shared cache so identical requests aren't re-generated. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Server logs (IP address, access time) at our hosting provider — for security and operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Data about people in briefs
Briefs contain only publicly available information about a person's public activity (interviews, articles, podcasts, public posts), gathered from public sources and linked to those sources. If you are the subject of a brief and want a correction or deletion, contact us at the address above.
Your network, the note after a meeting, public statements
If you import your LinkedIn connections, only each person's name, company and title are stored; no e-mail addresses. Only you see this data, it is used solely to note whom you already know at the organisation of the person you are meeting, and you can delete it at any time. The note after a meeting is made from your own words; a voice memo is transcribed by the speech-to-text provider and discarded, only the note remains. In a deep meeting preparation BRIF summarises how a person talks in their public appearances and what they have publicly stated, exclusively from publicly available recordings and with the source cited. BRIF does not build personality, psychological or emotional profiles and makes no automated decisions about people from this data.
Live listening
If you turn on “Listen and tick” in on-air mode, the browser sends short pieces of audio from your microphone (about 20 seconds at a time) to a speech-to-text provider (Groq, Inc., USA, or OpenAI, L.L.C., USA). The audio is not stored and is discarded after transcription. The transcript is saved with the brief and used to tick questions automatically and for the episode summary. You turn listening on yourself, can stop it at any time, and the transcript is deleted together with the brief.
Artificial intelligence — transparency
The full text of every brief (summary, story, questions, notes) is entirely generated by an AI model (currently Claude, Anthropic PBC) from web search results and transcripts of publicly available recordings — no human writes or edits it. The model is explicitly instructed not to invent facts and to cite sources, but errors and inaccuracies are still possible. Verify key facts before relying on a brief in a real conversation or meeting. This page also serves as our disclosure under the transparency requirements of the EU AI Act.
Processors
- Vercel Inc. — application hosting (EU/US, DPF framework)
- Supabase — database and user sign-in (EU region)
- Google LLC — only if you choose “Continue with Google” (we receive your name, email and profile picture; US, DPF framework)
- Livid — hosting of the video ad on the landing page (loading the player transfers your IP address to the provider)
- Anthropic PBC — AI processing of queries (US, DPF framework)
- Resend — transactional email, e.g. brief delivery (US, DPF framework)
- Stripe — payment processing (only when you purchase)
We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention
Emails: until you request deletion; newsletter consent until withdrawn. Briefs: kept to run the service (the cache serves briefs younger than 30 days). Logs: per the hosting provider's policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent — write to info@aiagencija.si. You may lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si) or your local supervisory authority.
If you are a public figure and would rather BRIF did not prepare briefs about you, the Data removal page handles it in one step: enter the name and your e-mail, confirm the link, and every brief about you is removed while no new ones are prepared.
Cookies and local storage
On your first visit you choose which categories to allow. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
- Necessary — always on, because the site can't function without them (language choice, form content, your category choice). Exempt from the consent requirement.
- Analytics — with your consent we use Vercel Web Analytics (anonymous, cookieless visit statistics with no persistent identifiers) and anonymous usage events (e.g. “demo clicked”, “form submitted” — no names, emails or IP addresses). Nothing loads without consent.
- Marketing — not currently in use. Reserved for possible future use, which would only load with your consent.
BRIF sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Analytics (only with consent) is cookieless and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts are self-hosted on our domain (nothing loads from Google servers when you visit). We actually use only the following browser storage:
| Name | Where | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| brif_email | localStorage | Remembers the email you typed into the form | Until you delete it | Necessary |
| brif_consent | localStorage | Remembers your cookie category choices | Until you delete it | Necessary |
| sb-…-auth-token | cookie (brif.live) | Keeps you signed in after logging in with Google or an email code | Until you log out (max. 1 year) | Necessary (sign-in) |
| brif_pending_claim | localStorage | Remembers which brief to save to your account while you sign in | Until the brief is saved | Necessary |
| Stripe cookies | checkout.stripe.com | Payment processing — set only if you open the payment page | Per Stripe's policy | Necessary (payment) |
