BRIF MCP

Use BRIF straight from Claude, ChatGPT or another agent. Add one connection, sign in to BRIF, and the agent can find a guest, start a brief, read a finished one, see what you have already asked a guest, and set a reminder. Briefs count against your plan as usual.

Connector URL

https://brif.live/api/mcp

Reading through the connection is free. Only starting a new brief uses a brief from the plan.

Claude

Open Settings → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector.
Enter the URL above and confirm.
BRIF sign-in opens. Click Allow.
The connection works in Claude on the web, in the desktop app and in Claude Code.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise) open Settings → Apps & Connectors.
Under Advanced settings turn on Developer mode, then click Create.
Name BRIF, the URL above, Authentication: OAuth. Click Create.
BRIF sign-in opens. Click Allow. In a chat, pick BRIF under the + button → More.

ChatGPT renames these menus now and then; look for “Connectors” or “Apps”.

Claude Code

In a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http brif https://brif.live/api/mcp

Then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose sign-in for BRIF. Or add a key instead of signing in:

Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients

Add a server with this URL. A client that speaks OAuth sends you to BRIF sign-in. Others need the key in a header:

Agent key

In Account click “Create agent key”. The key is shown once; save it. A new key revokes the old one. You can revoke all sign-in connections there too.

find_guest finds a person by name, returns candidates with role and location
start_brief starts a deep brief for a podcast guest or a meeting
brief_status progress: what was found, what was heard
get_brief a finished brief or card as text
list_briefs your briefs, newest first
guest_history what you have already asked this guest on your shows
contacts_due contacts due for a follow-up
set_reminder a reminder two hours before the conversation and the morning-after nudge

Try

“Find Ana Roš and prepare a brief for The Founder Hour.” A quarter of an hour later: “Is the brief ready? Give me the first five questions.” Or: “Who should I get back in touch with this week?”
